Taekwondo has been an official sport on the Olympic programme since the Sydney 2000 Olympic games after making its debut as a demonstration sport at the 1988 Seoul Games.
For members wishing to pursue competitive sparring there is a very active competition circuit that offer opportunities for first timers to experienced players. At Cumbria Taekwondo we regularly attend competitions with a team made up of players from all our clubs.
To represent ‘Cumbria Taekwondo’ at competition, members must be invited onto the team by their club instructor and attend some ‘test fight’ sessions in addition to their regular classes.
Taekwondo is a full contact sport which should not be taken lightly, so it essential that all team members are fully prepared mentally and physically.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][image_with_animation image_url=”3434″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][image_with_animation image_url=”3433″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
